After bouncing back into top form with the stupendous success of iSmart Shankar (2019), Ram Pothineni is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Red’, the Telugu remake of Kollywood blockbuster Thadam. Touted to be a crime-thriller, the film will portray the protagonist in dual roles that are constantly at loggerheads with each other. While Red is scheduled for a massive release on April 9, theaters’ shutdown in both the Telugu states due to coronavirus scare might postpone the film.

Speaking to E Times, Ram reacted on the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic in the country and stated that it’s the time to think of our society as a whole. “At an unfortunate time like this, there’s nothing much I can do other than being considerate and think of our society as a whole before I do, say or buy anything. I urge everyone to do the same,” said the ‘Energetic’ star of Telugu cinema.
Revealing that the final call on the release date of ‘Red’ will be taken soon, the 31-year-old actor stated that he is utilising the free time by staying at home and spending time with his family. Recently, Ram shared the photo of his nephew Sidhanth Pothineni on social media and wrote “Varasudu Vachaadu.”
Starring Nivetha Pethuraj, Malvika Sharma and Amritha Aiyer as the leading ladies, RED is directed by Kishore Tirumala and bankrolled by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore. While the first look posters and the teaser managed to hit the bull’s eye with the riveting theme, the Mani Sharma musical is gearing up to hit the screens amid big expectations.
